Sergey Bolotov was born on March, 10th, 1980 in Noginsk.

When Sergey was seven years old he had started to study music with the private teacher. One year later he entered the musical school on a speciality "piano". After graduating the musical school he took a great interest in jazz has started to write music.

"I was fond of creating music since my childhood, from the very first acquaintance with the piano. This acquaintance occurred, when my parents brought me to my first music lesson and left me alone in the room with the tool. I approached to it, tried to touch its keys... I didn't even notice, how I had taken a great interest, listening to the sound of a piano. Thus I had opened the new world - the world of sounds".

In 2002 Sergey recorded his first demo-disk on which it is possible to hear the compositions, which were made together with the skilful guitarist Vasily Vedin (the group "Wind", Noginsk). At the same time he took part in his solo works as the keyboard player, the arranger and the sound producer. In 2002-2003 he participated in the project under the name "Plane tree". The author of the music was Evgenie Zhuravlyov. Sergey got acquainted and co-operated with the bass guitarist Ilja Bobrovsky - the musician with non-standard jazz vision, likely to the music of John Coltrane, John Patitucci.

In 2005 he decided to organize his own instrumental progressive rock project which has received subsequently the name "Inner Drive".

"My music interests evolutionated in the following way: Hard-Rock, Classic Rock, Russian Rock, Jazz, Fusion, Progressive Rock, Classical music. Very strong impression on me was made by such groups as Emerson, Lake and Palmer, UK, Yes, Genesis, King Crimson, Led Zeppelin".
